Styling Coordinator

Job Summary:

Styling Coordinator oversees the coordination and planning of the photo samples and manages the freelance assistant fashion stylists for Neiman Marcus. This position is critical in ensuring all on-figure shoots are properly prepared to have a successful day. The coordinator reports directly to the Neiman Marcus Styling Director and is the point of contact for on-set stylists and the Assistant Styling Managers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages 8 - 10 assistant stylists and the daily product flow through multiple channels of the studio (style out, on-set, return to coordination, etc.)
  • Partners with studio leaders to execute day-to-day operations, coordinate assistant stylists schedule and train new hires
  • Manages the Wear-With function and train others on the process and any updates to the procedure
  • Oversees on-set preparation for the following day with the preparation of merch, organizing rods, precuring props, and ensure styling notes/guides are outlined for on-set stylist and assistants for an efficient and productive day
  • Organizes sets and supplies for on-set teams
  • Anticipate and resolve creative challenges by using appropriate resources and/or solutions
  • Maintains current usability of studio props and assist with identifying props in need of replacement and laundering services


Job Requirements:
  • 2 - 5 years' experience with on-figure fashion assisting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and people while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Consistently thinking ahead and working with the Styling Management team to streamline and refine our process with styling
  • Style and taste level to correspond with Neiman Marcus brand aesthetic
  • Stamina to be agile, efficient, and flexible five days a week
  • Ability to work independently and as well as a team player
  • Ability to teach associates new computer skills, styling skills, and best practices to improve their job function
  • A self-starter who is efficient at critical thinking and has an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Convey a can-do, positive, solution focused attitude
