Title: Sr Director, Finance & Inventory Management, Coach Japan & Coach Asia
Reports to: VP, CFO & COO, Tapestry Asia
Location: Tokyo

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary (Retail Finance):
o Accountable for sales and gross margin planning for Coach Japan & Coach Asia
o Partner with local business partners and regional FP&A team on investments in:
▪ Store construction
▪ Marketing events
▪ IT capabilities
▪ Customer activation (e.g., VIP program, digital marketing, CRM activities)
o Drive the business towards key financial objectives, identifying risks/opportunities as conditions change in the local market or with the brand's performance
o Continuously improve forecast accuracy to ensure optimal allocation of resources

• Primary (Inventory Management):
o Accountable for total Coach Japan inventory position and resulting inventory turn
o Local owner of IBP processes, including monthly Demand & Inventory Review with HQ
o Set OTB budgets, incorporating:
▪ Financial plans and potential risks/opportunities
▪ Expected sell-through rates
▪ Seasonal product strength
▪ Local strategic priorities
o Monitor sales & product performance to identify opportunities in pricing, product lifecycles, inventory movements, OTB adjustments, etc.
o Minimize inventory obsolescence and lead any end-of-life decisions (e.g., product donation, employee sale)
o Coordinate with global partners to facilitate the above actions

• Secondary:
o Member of Coach Japan Leadership Team, including acting as a project sponsor or task force leader as required

Education, Experience, Qualifications, Skills:
• Language skillset: Fluency in English; Proficiency in Japanese would be a bonus but not required
• Familiarity with financial systems (PBCS, CORA, RPAS)
• Ability to manage and develop a team based in multiple locations
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influence
• Mental flexibility to quickly adapt to changes in both business context and priorities
