Title: Senior Graphic Designer 

Reports to: Creative Director and Commercial VP

*NYC Based

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for concepting and creating visually engaging, and aesthetically elevated digital and physical assets for the Mara Hoffman brand. A strong design acumen, understanding of photo layout design, typography, and experience working with print materials is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Creative Director to create compelling visual concepts across all channels: Digital, E-Commerce, Wholesale, Social, and Print
  • Collaborate with E-Commerce teams to ensure design work exceeds expectations
  • Demonstrated experience designing 360 brand systems that extend from identity to packaging to web – the more the better
  • Execute, elevate, and evolve the Mara Hoffman visual design standards
  • Present new and exciting strategic creative solutions to meet the brand objectives and revenue goals
  • Responsible for designing all digital and physical brand collateral including but not limited to: UX/UI improvements, email, homepage, blog, social & display ads, organic social, lookbooks, preview books, product packaging, etc.
  • Responsible for site updates
  • Manage the Assistant Graphic Designer and support in oversight of E-Commerce imagery on the website
  • Assist in post-production for E-commerce and Editorial assets (coordinating retouches, video editing and communication of deliverables and adhering to timelines)
  • Support with photo retouching across editorial imagery
  • Strong interest in and understanding of cultural trends in fashion, art, design, film, and photography
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines, new challenges, and changing priorities
  • Attention to detail with regards to keeping all digital experiences, files and team organized
  • Develop visual mockups for presenting to senior management + team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in 360 design, preferably with fashion or a creative agency
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Bridge)
  • Working knowledge of Figma
  • Demonstrated understanding of photo layout with an elevated aesthetic and creative approach
  • Impeccable typography and graphic design skills, must have a strong portfolio that exemplifies a broad range of concept development and execution for digital
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Monday
  • Role is remote but preferences for candidates located in New York City
