Primary Purpose:

The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing first line support to the business; supporting our retail operations in UK, Ireland, Germany & Austria. The role is based in London.

Reporting to the HR Manager Retail of UK, Ireland, Germany & Austria and working closely with the local Area Managers, this role will cover the full generalist spectrum with a particular emphasis on Employee Relations in UK & Ireland and administration.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Human Resources to...

  • Manage Employee Relations matters in compliance with local legislation and HR best practice
  • Attend formal meetings as the HR Representative in the capacity of note-taker and create the relevant paperwork (invite and outcome letters)
  • Support the HR Manager with the preparation of monthly key HR metrics inc Employee Relations data
  • Provide support to HR Manager within the monthly payroll validation process: ensuring accurate tracking/logging of new starters, leavers, changes to contractual agreements, Right to Work checks.
  • Checking all relative employee data is inserted to the relevant system in time for the monthly payroll validation
  • Support the Area Managers in providing generalist HR support to key client groups
  • Support with HR projects across Europe in line with Coach's global HR vision
  • Consistently align policies, practices and management with a culture based on focus, execution, values and authenticity
  • Act as first line support to the management team on all HR queries, providing sound and articulate advice and escalating issues to HR Manager
  • Completing exit interviews with corporate and retail management employees
  • Track and monitor the probationary review process
  • Support with key annual processes such as the annual performance review process
  • Create and develop new policies and procedures in conjunction with the HR Manager
  • Regular review of the team's administrative processes, ensuring alignment with HR team members and identifying efficiencies and areas for improvement on a continuous basis.

The accomplished individual will possess...

• Proven experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or as a HR Advisor ideally in an international (luxury) retail or hospitality environment in UK.

• Sound knowledge of local UK employment legislation and HR best practice in the UK

• An analytical mind and a commercial focus

• A hands-on attitude and willingness to work with minimal administrative support in a fast growth company

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization

The outstanding professional will have...

Work experience in a US headquartered company

Broad European HR experience

A good knowledge of German is a nice-to-have
