Currently located in Dallas Texas, this position provides functional application support, configuration and new process realization within Merchandising and Inventory Management functions of ORACLE Retail Management System (RMS) applications and cloud based related functions. This position will collect business requirements and analysis through meetings with users, peers, external partners and company management to determine the best solutions to meet the needs of the business. Further, this position will create reports, queries, business cases and presentations at the appropriate level of detail to provide decision/business support.

The ideal candidate will have 7 years of progressive work experience as a Software Engineer or consultant with multiple Oracle RMS implementation cycles. Experience with cloud-based technologies is desired. This role regularly interfaces with business users and leadership. Previous Project Management, Process Improvement Project and Retail Inventory Management/Finance business experience is a definite plus.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Provide primary support and enhancements to the Oracle RMS modules.
  • Collect, document and implement functional business requirements.
  • Review, analyze, problem solve production issues and implement thoroughly tested, quality solutions.
  • Configure Oracle RMS modules and should have hands on development experience.
  • Should be able to develop the component to fulfill business needs in Oracle RMS modules.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements.
  • Openly participate in collaboration and problem-solving sessions.
  • Provide level-three support of the nightly batch process specific to Oracle RMS applications, month, quarter and year-end close processes.
  • Provide level-two support to end-users and training.
  • Work with and support business users daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, Systems Engineering, Systems Communications or Communications Engineering is required
  • Advance proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum of five years of Oracle RMS technical application configuration/implementation experience.
  • Minimum of three years of Retail Inventory Management experience.
  • Functional experience with foundation data, store inventory management and merchandise analytics
  • 7+ years with requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, testing, conversion, and deployment experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Outlook & Power Point
  • Experience working with Project Management tools (MS Project, Jira, Atlassian)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Process oriented with high attention to detail
  • Strong process and analytical skill set.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years' experience performing requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, testing, conversion, and deployment experience with Oracle RMS.
  • 3 + years' experience implementing Oracle RMS applications
  • 5+ years' experience in a large, complex, multi-unit department store, fashion or apparel/footwear retailer
  • Working knowledge of SQL via SQL Developer
  • Multiple Oracle RMS Project cycle experiences (Implementation, Upgrades)
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project development methodologies.
  • Understanding of Cloud Based Technologies.
