We are currently seeking a Sr. Analyst of Competitive Insightsfor NMG Corporate Strategy & Business Development who will assist in deepening our understanding of the evolving luxury landscape and drive our competitive strategies both short and long term. The Sr. Analyst of Competitive Insights will assist in building materials for key business planning and business strategy meetings as well as company shared reporting and analytic dashboards. As a result, this role calls for someone who is strategic, well-informed, able to synthesize what our data is showing and aid in informing cross functional partners at all levels understand the actions to take from the insights gathered.

The Sr. Analyst of Competitive insights will report into the Director, Luxury Market Intelligence. This team is strategically positioned within the NMG Corporate Strategy & Analysis Office to "quarterback" the appropriate competitive analysis and insights across key business initiatives. The team works closely with Corporate FP&A, Strategy, Customer Analytics & Research and third-party data providers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

· Highlight areas of competitive growth and/or opportunity to fuel our vision to revolutionize luxury experience with relevant, credible luxury market data analysis and storytelling

· Support competitive intelligence capabilities for both Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman strategic business needs focusing on customer traffic (digital and in-store) and geographic data and views

· Create, automate, and maintain reporting and dashboards from key external competitive third-party data sources while having ability to triangulate and compare against internal data sources

· Keep informed on and synthesize industry trends and signals such as macro-economy, reports, competitive earnings, etc., leading practices, new innovations and status of competitors and drive them into implications for NMG's competitive strategies for both short and long-term planning in key focuses of traffic (digital and in-store) and geographic areas

· Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across business units to develop, track and manage our ongoing competitive learnings and become a trusted source for insights

· Provide analytical and comprehensive responses to ad hoc requests utilizing data sources

· Prioritize work, understand how work contributes to organizational objectives and strategies, and drive towards established due dates

Qualifications - External

· Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

· Retail or Luxury experience is not required, but preferred

· 3+ years industry/competitive/marketing research, management consulting, corporate finance, corporate development or strategy experience

· Experience in utilizing competitive/secondary research to provide a synthesized point of view

· Ability to interpret/connect macro-economic conditions and the customer to business implication

· Familiarity with retail industry and retail industry data providers for competitive geographic, digital and in-store customer traffic analytics (e.g. Placer AI, SimilarWeb, SecondMeasure, StyleSage, etc.) preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

· Demonstrates professionalism in communication and strong collaboration skills with cross functional partners, both internal and external

· A spirit of driving for results and a growth mindset to assist in driving continuous improvement of our business and capabilities

· Strong organizational skills to manage work requests and multiple project
