Marketing Internship

GAUGE81 is a young fast-growing fashion start-up based on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. Through the use of striking angles and playful proportions, GAUGE81 (pronounced GO-SH eighty-one) blurs the line between evening and casual wear. Indisputably feminine, the brand is a study in contrast and retro references that are at once familiar and completely unexpected.

Our activities include everything from the design, sourcing and manufacturing of the collections as well as marketing and PR. Our clients include Net a Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Moda Operandi and Brown’s Fashion.

What will you do?

You will provide operational support for existing projects, as well as providing research and planning for new programs and the implementation of global marketing projects. In detail, you will support in:

PR 

• Assisting with our PR agency as a daily contact for dressing and sample requests 

Digital Marketing 

• Support with our digital marketing program, including daily analysis and reporting
• Contribution to the creation of mock-ups, e-mail campaigns

Influencer Marketing

• Seasonal gifting 
• Seasonal influencer research 

Retail Partner Marketing (B2B)

• Retail partner marketing, including development of materials such seasonal look books, operational executions and communication 

General 

• Follow up on daily requests from the marketing team 
• Conduct market analysis and research on latest trends
• Preparing presentations 
• Reporting

Besides the tasks and responsibilities outlined above there is always room for your own initiative and wishes with regards to your development and learning opportunities. 

Requirements:

• Enrolled in HBO or University studies related to Marketing, Communication or Business Administration, preferably with a fashion background
• You are a great communicator and fluent in English, spoken and written
• Understanding of our brand as well as a high affinity with our products
• Enthusiastic, pro-active person who is not afraid to take initiatives
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload while being deadline and solution driven and not losing the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote skills
• Quick apprehension, proactivity and a hands-on mentality with willingness to take on and over responsibilities
• Available per Mid-August or beginning of September, 5 days a week, for a period of minimum 5 months
• Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship
