Senior Developer

Position Objectives

The eCommerce team at elysewalker is looking for a Senior Developer to architect and build user-facing web development projects for elysewalker.com. Reporting to the CIO, this role will be focused on the technical development of user-facing web development projects with various tools, partners, and vendors. Must have a strong understanding of JavaScript programming and development patterns and the ability to leverage JavaScript frameworks to build CMS-based web applications and 3rd party integrations. You'll work to improve usability for our customers and optimize web design on the existing customized theme, hosted on the Shopify plus platform

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop responsive, high performance, reliable website enhancements, bug fixes and occasional JavaScript modules.
• Optimize existing user interface designs-based conversion data and product roadmap.
• Build, validate and maintain web page templates from supplied wireframe layouts
• QA new features and updates
• Work with Web, Product & Design team to implement new site features to pixel-perfect specifications
• Utilize HTML / CSS / JavaScript to troubleshoot and edit issues and updates to sites through the production lifecycle
• Support and implement best practices for layouts, navigation, architecture, and site speed
• Test usability of new and existing website features using a variety of viewport sizes
• Understanding how to translate business needs, data, and systems into solution architecture and design
• Defining architecture and technical road maps for entire web ecosystem including websites/portals and other web assets.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years of Full Stack Development experience (Javascript & Node)
• 5-7 years of experience with Shopify and Liquid
• 7+ years of HTML and CSS
• Thorough understanding of Microservices and APIs
• Ability to work in CMS environments (Shopify, Adobe, or Demandware / Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus)
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and AWS cloud platforms
• Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or fashion and apparel
• Experience with .NET, SQL is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated mastery of multi-tasking, and the ability to adapt to change quickly
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Analytical and have a keen eye for details
• Great problem-solving skills and work well in a team
