Position Overview
At Ralph Lauren, the Master Data Governance Groups mission statement is to improve efficiency and lower business risks for RL business units by ensuring that the highest quality data is delivered, managed, and maintained via company-wide and global data governance strategy. This entails continuously improving data quality and management through global processes, standards, and technologies, enabling consistent and accurate reporting and inter-operability of systems, with the ongoing support of Global Data Governance Councils. The position works with the business and application owners to determine the appropriate master data management inputs to enable business processes, ensuring the quality of data to mitigate risks while ensuring data is in conformance to our data governance policies and standards. The individual must possess and demonstrate strong business knowledge within Party information "Customer Master", while also bridging and maintaining the technology solutions in place to maximize efficiencies and automation for sustainable repeatable processes. The Customer Master Data Governance Analyst contributes to the daily operations of EMEA Customer Data Governance Stewardship Council in collaboration with the Manager/Director. This position will have tactical responsibility for EMEA Customer data maintenance, analysis, cleansing and the reporting/metrics that support these processes. The role will interface and work collaboratively with the business to define data standards leading to business rules development to enable the technology drivers to ensure the overall quality of requests leading to the creation of vendors with minimal business disruptions that could lead to operations, compliance, and regulatory risks (cost). The focus of this role is to manage the daily operations of EMEA Customer Master to our ERP solution (SAP).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Evaluate and process/reject customer data setup/change requests in SAP according to established policies and procedures, while ensuring the quality, integrity and confidentiality of customer information.
* Maintain customer master in accordance to our global data definitions and governance policies
* Create customer records and updates to existing records in SAP as part of ongoing requests processed and submitted by LOB's
* Liaise across cross functional business units to enact our governance policies to drive commonality, consistency and usage
* Ensure proper procedures for all respective documentation backup are adhered to, including maintenance with internal policies and SOX requirements.
* Act as a key liaison with Internal and External Auditors for customer master data documentation audit.
* Work with cross-functional stakeholders including Account Services, Sales, Finance, Distribution, Supply Chain and business partners supporting OTC processes to understand functional and regulatory requirements for customer master data governance procedures and protocols to support those requirements.
* Utilize excellent customer service skills and communicate professionally with expert resources to investigate issues and determine problem resolution.
* Facilitate the ongoing review, impact analysis and cleansing procedures to support data quality
* Accountability to drive customer master data quality metrics to measure the quality and health of customer master as an ongoing practice

* Develop and maintain the ongoing operational activities supporting customer master across the lines of business.
* Assist in ad-hoc projects associated with customer master data.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environment. · Ability to organize workload and the capacity to progress a range of tasks and projects at one time. · SAP master data knowledge for party information a must · A general well round understanding of both Order to Cash (OTC) & Procurement (PTP) required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with a desire to provide a high level of customer service.
* Very methodical and accurate, displaying a strong desire for high quality, with attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Ability to interact with business and IT resources to facilitate resolution of data related issues.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, Access, PowerPoint).
