The Opportunity
Darcy Penick, President of Bergdorf Goodman and one of the first leaders in pure-play fashion e-commerce, has built a team of industry pioneers who are bringing their collective expertise and commitment to operational excellence to the world of Bergdorf Goodman. As the destination to discover best in class designers, emerging brands and exclusive products, Bergdorf Goodman provides customers with transformative experiences that embody the definition of modern luxury.
Leads a team of merchandisers with elevated taste level to create and maintain a world-class luxury store.
Partners with Director, fellow Managers to continuously inspire team and deliver an elevated residential client experience. Support seasonal directives, trends set by the Fashion Office, throughout the floors.
Partner with the Fashion Manager to guide on mannequin looks and styling directives.
Creates and maintains store visit checklist for self and Visual teams for daily maintenance of fixtures,
merchandise, and overall aesthetic.
Owns the women's RTW interior visual payroll overview and calendar.
Oversees RTW categories. Works with Selling and Merchant teams to best serve business needs.
Holds the visual interior calendar and provides direction to Visual team on new brands, brand initiatives, and in-store experiences / activations.
Manage implementation of BG driven and brand partner pop up
and highlights, sets and installations.
Communicate and provide guidance to brand partners to ensure overall store and client experience is excellent.
Partners with the Store Design and Project Manager as needed to ensure new shops and renovations are executed smoothly.
Actively participates in weekly / biweekly merchant and store conference calls as well as in person meetings.
Partners with cross functional teams including store team, housekeeping, and support regularly.

- 4+ years of visual merchandising experience, luxury retail fashion experience preferred.
2+ years of management and leadership experience in merchandising, visual display, styling.
Professional and flexible mentality.
An elevated taste level.
Affinity for Interior décor.
Ability to lead, guide and inspire a team of experienced merchandisers.
Organized, focused and passionate about fashion and luxury.
Proactive and anticipatory, Ability to gauge priorities and pivot easily.
Multitasking
Ability to create floorplans and understand capacity and adjacency relationships.
Experience with production in display.
Knowledge and understanding of current trends and cultural awareness
History of leading, motivating, and coaching teams to achieve goals.
Excellent oral and written professional communication skills.
