JOB PURPOSE

Manage all the activities and the information required to define Shoes product costs at different stage of development process, from estimates to final seasonal cost at POs confirmation. Provide a deep cost analysis and cost comparison to challenge product supply, manufacturing, development and technical teams to find the best cost optimization to reach target margins without compromising quality and deliveries. To ensure the availability of seasonal product costs, reporting a consistent basis to develop product margins and constantly look forward cost optimisation along the value chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Partner with development, merchandising, product supply, industrialisation, production teams and vendors to develop, update, challenge product cost estimates and evaluations at different stages of product lifecycle.

· Manage and communicate costing critical path

· Create a target costing culture to support product definition and margin contribution without compromising quality and deliveries

· Create a robust cost management system

· Partner with finance and planning teams to share future season cost implications based on market benchmarks trends

· Manage cross-functional report of seasonal savings and seasonal carry forward status to proactively propose continuous cost optimisation.

· Provide a clear cost comparison, highlighting out of target products and coordinate activities challenges to improve materials, components and manufacturing costs to reach target cost/margin.

· Manage the team to develop cost estimates at early development stages, costing scenarios, carry forward analysis at each season.

· Proactively facilitate the handover of costing activities from development stages to industrialisation.

· Facilitate the creation of a materials/components costs library

· Facilitate the implementation of a time & method evaluation process to define product manufacturing cost

· Facilitate the creation of a materials consumption library

· Support product supply teams for final costing negotiations with Vendors

PERSONAL PROFILE

· Degree in Engineering or Economics, or product Technologies

· 5 to 10 years working experience in shoes

· Experience in leading a team in the luxury category

· Advanced use of MsOffice tools
