Head of Collection Merchandising

The Mission

Reporting to the CEO, the primary mission of the Head of Collection Merchandising will be to develop and lead the Merchandising team, review and optimize all merchandising processes and tools and deliver all merchandising activities, analysis and reporting in a timely and effective manner

The Role

• Define the merchandising seasonal strategic guideline, identifying specific needs for each market and channel
• Develop the strategic product SKU plan, margin and pricing structure
• Work closely with the Design and Product teams in the development of each Collection in line with the Brand vision and image 
• Optimize the collection structure in order to optimize its marketability and efficiency 
• Work in collaboration with other relevant functions to ensure appropriate processes are in place at every stage of the critical path, deadlines are respected and targets are met
• Prepare benchmark analysis in terms of competitors’ offering and price positioning
• Develop appropriate performance analysis on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis while ensuring data quality, consistency and availability
• Support in the preparation of Collection Briefing/Training Documents for both Wholesale and Retail Channels
• Collaborate with the top management and other functions (Design, Product, Supply Chain, Retail, Wholesale) in order to ensure effective communication and proactive problem solving

The Ideal candidate

• 7+ years of experience in a Merchandising role within a global luxury or contemporary brand or within a top tier fashion digital platform
• Deep understanding of the fashion business, market preferences and product trends
• Outstanding business acumen and analytical skills
• Ability to optimize processes and develop the necessary capabilities and tools
• Experience in collaborating and influencing relevant function (particularly design)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (Fluent English is essential)
• Passionate, flexible and collaborative team worker
• Degree in Business or Fashion Management

The role will be based in our Milan headquarter. Relocation packages for International applicants will be discussed as needed
