To manage the planning of polished diamond supply and procurement to meet the needs of the business, as defined by Demand Management. To integrate the Laurelton pipeline into the planning process, and work with the Procurement group on third party order execution. To work with Product Development, Category Management and Demand Management on diamond needs for future launches. Communicate inventory availability profiles to enhance specific stone selection.

Key Accountabilities

Supply Chain Planning
  • Participate in developing the long range plan, annual planning and forecasting for the division
  • Translate annual diamond demand into required polished production based on current pipeline
  • Maintain a view into our diamond pipeline to understand possible constraints to meet demand
  • Identify and understand changes in demand and forecast potential impacts to inventory using scenario analysis
  • Clearly communicate inventory constraints or potential excess inventory and be able to quantify the impacts of these scenarios
  • Work with all grading locations on tactical priorities as needed to support the business
  • Work with the TGL Operations Operations team to manage stone shortages and communicate recovery plans to all internal and external manufacturing locations

Reporting and Analysis
  • Update standard reporting packages utilizing systems such as APS and JDE to provide a current view into the pipeline
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • To create and maintain melee grading plans, and work with all grading locations on tactical priorities as needed to support the business

Special Projects and Process Improvement Initiatives
  • Identify supply chain improvement opportunities
  • Develop relationships with our internal partners (Procurement, TGL, etc) as well as with our merchandising partners (Demand Management, Category Management)
  • Work with Product Development, Category Management and Demand Management on the development of new products, and build future diamond launch needs into the planning process. Communicate size and availability constraints as an input to stone selection
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in planning and analysis
  • Proficient in MRP and ERP systems (ex: APS, JDE)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Collaboration, Multitasking, Interpersonal skills
  • Must be familiar with MRP and Supply Chain Management concepts. Excellent math skills, detail oriented and ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management

Preferred Qualifications
  • In depth knowledge of diamond sourcing and polishing industry
