Rainbowwave is an independent wholesale agency offering an integrated solution to sales and communications. From emerging RTW labels to established international brands we pride ourselves on providing our clients with bespoke, high-level support and strategic advice. The business is fast growing, supplying luxury retailers throughout the world with upcoming and established fashion brands such as Re/Done, Jonathan Simkhai and Ancient Greek Sandals to name but a few.

The Role:

Rainbowwave hosts sales campaigns up to four times a year in its New York, London and Paris Showrooms.  We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Events Manager who can facilitate and manage the delivery of exceptional sales markets and events from start to finish within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal teams, external clients and suppliers regarding showroom contributions and services for responsible management of seasonal budgets set by the CFO
  • Analyse showroom KPIs and P&Ls to report to the CFO and finance team with recommendations to improve targets
  • Setting, communicating, and maintaining event project critical paths
  • Sourcing, developing, negotiating, and maintaining client and supplier costs and relationships
  • Logistic management of samples and equipment required for international markets and transportation
  • Provide showroom management for additional selling markets including Resort, Jewellery and Men’s throughout the sales calendar
  • Partner with Senior Management in London, New York and Paris to ensure the optimum preparation of localised showrooms for each market
  • Effectively communicate with showroom brands and their brand managers on showroom contributions, collection arrival (and returns) and merchandising  
  • Drive out-of-season rentals in the London showroom through online event platforms and other initiatives, managing booking process and hosted events
  • Travelling for onsite inspections

 

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years in event planning within an international fashion or hospitality business.  Agency experience advantageous
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in logistics and preparing commercial shipping documentation
  • Familiar with event H&S to ensure best practice is performed by all showroom occupants
  • Efficient and well organised individual
  • Creative individual who is passionate about delivering high end events
  • Positive problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Effective and articulate communicator
  • Autonomous worker, with great collaborative skills
  • Strong computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite.   Adobe Creative Cloud skills advantageous
  • A calm and discreet demeanour with ability to manage ambiguity
  • Ability to travel for several weeks throughout the year
  • Additional languages advantageous
