JOB PURPOSE

This role will drive all planning activities in their respective region within Burberry's global planning organisation. They will embody the Burberry values and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.

They will be responsible for:
  • Creating, updating and managing the Rolling Open to Buy and Collection Open to Buy process
  • Aligning, partnering and collaborating with the Merchandising, Allocation, Regional Finance and Central Planning teams on Open to Buy, lifecycle, fiscal risks, opportunities, markdown and inventory management
  • Responsible for commercial insights in driving in-season decisions to maximise inventory, drive sales and deliver margin targets
  • Driving detailed Replenishment sales forecasts and aligning on weeks of cover and target procurement levels


RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Planning Excellence
  • Support and forecast the Rolling Open to Buy by season by product hierarchy level (Full Price/Mark Down)
  • Develop and manage the Collection Open to Buy alignment with Regional Merchants for sales and inventory ahead of each collection
  • Responsible for preparing insightful analysis into the Collection Open to Buy process to support the creation of future collection plans
  • Partner with and communicate the Collection and Rolling Open to Buy's to Central teams based in the UK
  • Support in the review of collection buys with Merchants, focusing on key investments ensuring buys are within agreed budgets
  • Support long-range planning, budget and seasonal plans across categories (fashion/seasonal products & replenishment) within mainline and on-line
  • Responsible for monitoring trade performance and highlighting opportunities and risks to sales and inventory targets
  • Analyze and validate regional markdown plans across categories from a bottom-up view
  • Responsible for the reforecast at line level monthly sales and inventory plans for replenishment products
  • Support the management of regional inventory within budget targets through offering insights to performance
  • Partner with Merchants to continually manage the business through in-season analysis and long-term strategies, driving sales and maximizing margin


CONNECTING WITH OTHERS

This role will work closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Central Outlet team, Central Planning team, Regional Planning teams, Merch Planning Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Regional Commercial teams

PERSONAL PROFILE

QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor Degree


EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated experience in a regional planning role in a commercial and luxury environment
  • Demonstrated experience across all activities of commercial planning, including Open to Buy, reforecasting and inventory management
  • Customer-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Well developed communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous
