Position Objective

This is a part-time position for a candidate looking to pursue a career in logistics. The Buying Logistics Coordinator’s main functions are to oversee all aspects of inventory movement from third party vendors– this includes but is not limited to shipping authorization, RTV execution and price change communication. The Buying Logistics Coordinator role is to analyze and optimize logistical procedures through effective communication including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication. This person should have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Shipping management: Oversee communication via shipping approval email, audit requests against purchase orders, manage discrepancies with appropriate parties, ensure timely merchandise deliveries and update systems accordingly 
  • Process returns authorizations: communicate with store teams and any necessary internal and external follow-up
  • Pricing communication: Update and communicate pricing adjustments with all necessary divisions
  • Manage damaged product: Liaise between stock and buying teams regarding damaged product
  • Stock team communication: Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues


Required Skills

  • Computer proficiency (strong excel skills, email, and Microsoft applications)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in fast-paced environment
  • NCR Counterpoint knowledge preferred
  • Prior logistics experience preferred
  • Familiarity of delivery service companies and their customs protocol
