Production Assistant

Purpose of Job:

The Production Assistant plays an important role in assisting the Production Team with a variation of different tasks, ensuring that goods are produced at the right level of quality and delivered on time.

The Production Assistant should have good computer skills as well as a good technical understanding and keen interest in garment construction and finishing.

The candidate should be reliable, flexible and happy to work independently against a demanding workload with very tight deadlines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

FABRIC & TRIM PRODUCTION PREPARATIONS:

• Create Fabric Quality Control Folder

• Assist with checking correctness of Production Strike Offs

• Assist with the Quality Control of fabrics & trims, ensuring raw materials meet specifications and quality requirements

• Assist with splitting production fabrics and trims required to fulfill bulk orders requirements for each factory

• Pick & Pack trims for factories ensuring materials are matching with delivery notes

 

QUALITY CONTROL OF EMBROIDERIES & FINISHED GARMENTS:

• Assist with the Quality Control of Embroideries

• Assist with the Quality Control of finished garments

• Follow up on any fixing that is required

• Monitor any discrepancies

• Travel to suppliers & factories in the UK & abroad when needed

 

LIAISING WITH FACTORIES:

• Launching Sample packs

• Collecting all necessary information & materials needed for all sample packs

• Ensuring all information provided is accurate & correct

• Visit factories or arrange shipments

 

Skills and knowledge:

• Well organised, precise & accurate

• Competent in Adobe & Excel

• Very good communication skills

• Mathematical understanding

• Tailoring background can be beneficial
