In support of Tapestry, Inc.'s new Las Vegas fulfilment center, we're expanding our team and adding a position for an experienced Transportation Manager. The Transportation Manager will oversee regional store deliveries, direct to consumer parcel management, and support inbound deliveries for our new fulfillment center in Las Vegas, NV. In this roleyou will manage transportation operations while ensuring adherence to policies and operating procedures. Additionally, the Transportation Manager will support, develop, implement, and coordinate solutions with transportation providers and internal business partners to ensure the most productive and efficient mode of shipping is maintained in order to achieve goals and objectives. The position reports to the Sr Director, Transportationand will have substantial interaction with many other business partners and departments across the Tapestry organization.

  • Support store delivery strategy and execution including Direct to Store Delivery
  • Manage 3PL Specialty Retail Pool Distribution partners and develop new pool distribution opportunities
  • Support West Coast drayage and transload for inbound ocean shipment
  • Act as regional transportation point of contact for the brand's Store Operations group
  • Modal oversight of VFC shipping including TL, LTL, Drayage, and potential dedicated fleet engagements
  • ManageParcel shipping and serve as the Multi Parcel Carrier Management Solution super user
  • Manage carrier partners as assigned, including onboarding, compliance, and process improvement
  • Support Transportation Management System (TMS) project and implementation
  • Establish, monitor, and report on transportation performance-based KPIs and financial reports
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, volumes, and carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
  • Be the escalation point for day-to-day activities and troubleshooting
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and state transportation safety and hazmat regulations

The accomplished individual will possess...
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field is preferred
  • 5-10 years of work experience in domestic transportation and logistics
  • Prior experience in transportation, shipping or similar role
  • High proficiency with logistics support software, transport management, warehouse management and ERP systems. Familiarity with Manhattan WMS/TMS, SAP, DAT preferred
  • Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics.
  • Experience with shipping procedures for each mode of transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Dangerous Goods / Hazmat shipping certifications preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
