The Department & Team

The Demand Planning team sits under the Buying and Planning pillar within he Calvin Klein Europe organization.  The NOS demand planner manages the demand planning process of the Never out of Stock (NOS) Assorment across the Calvin Klein brands.

The Planning team is made up of +20 highly motivated and skilled professionals from various cultural backgrounds and nationalities and sits within the wider Ck  world of 100+ associates. Working in a closeknit direct team, while alongside the wider division made up of cross-functional teams in areas such as Design, Merchandising, Sales and Business Operations, makes for an exciting, diverse and inspiring environment to be a part of.

As the long-established Underwear category continues to drive the business and volumes, Swimwear,  Performancewear and CK AFA  are emerging as strong additions with massive potential, bringing much opportunity for growth and making for an exciting time to be a part of the team.

The Position
The team is responsible for driving the EMEA monthly demand forecast in close collaboration with key Regional Demand Planning and Sales teams, internal Markets and Product Merchandising teams, as well as insights gathered through market knowledge and quantitative analysis. Demand plans translate into Supply Plans and strategy plans for the bussiness.

A Demand Planner will be key on supporting the demand planning functions in a considerably fresh new team.

Responsible for driving the EMEA monthly demand forecast for NOS (Never out of Stock) business in Women Underwear. Collaborate with sales managers in Europe, sales and merchandising team as input for the demand plan. Provide required NOS analysis and performance analysis to key stakeholders.

An ideal candidate possesses a deep experience in Data Analysis, Applied Statistics and Supply Chain planning functions. This team member provides context and perspectives for data-driven decision making & drives NOS growth.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop demand plans for a 12 months of horizon based on statistical forecasts, trend analysis, and market insides on a monthly basis

  • Monthly create and present the forecast adjustments/summary in sign-off meetings with Production Planning team

  • Liaise with markets during Monthly Demand Meetings and conduct analysis on NOS sales in order to obtain in-depth understanding of NOS performance and expected demand, facilitating more accurate demand planning

  • Collaborate with Product Merchandising with regard to NOS collection to ensure data-driven decision-making

  • Actively manage the NOS new product introduction process, by gathering forecasts from markets, calculating optimal launch quantities, determining / adjusting sell-through rate or products at multiple stages (e.g. before, during, after launch) and developing demand plan

  • Involved in projects aimed at efficiency & continuos improvement

  • Provide reporting on NOS performance to stakeholders on monthly basis and during quarterly meetings (e.g. Quarterly Basic Review report, sales overviews and forecasts, offer composition, ABC overview).

  • Give support on a new planning implementation tool.

  • Data quality checks in the systems.

  • Work cross-functionally to accurately reflect recent trends and achieve continuous improvement in demand forecast accuracy and other demand planning measures.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Educated to bachelor/master level; Education background: supply chain, business analytics, economics, or any related quantitative field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in Demand Planning or related field

  • Strong analytical and solving skills

  • Ambitious, Passionate & Personable

  • Skills in gathering, interpreting and manipulating data

  • Understanding of forecast error metrics

  • Strong team player

  • Proficiency with MS office with advance skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot)

  • Experience with SAP and Advanced planning systems is a plus

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

  • Detail Oriented and ability to work with large amounts of data.
