HEAD OF MADE TO ORDER, MADE TO MEASURE, BESPOKE, BRIDAL & LIFESTYLE/HOMEWARE

(SECOND IN COMMAND TO ASSIST ATELIER DIRECTOR)

 

STUDIO

  • Monday bespoke meeting – using the private client overview to outline the week ahead Weekly one to one catch up with Head of Atelier to review the week- challenges. Weekly on a Thursday prior to company operations meeting: To provide a report on bespoke happenings /quotes/ ideas in order to generate improvement in the bespoke
  • Processing orders from the store:  Made to Order/Made to Measure/Bespoke/Bridal. Always acknowledge receipt. Send swatch cards for new quotes to help with closure of sale Generating quotations within 24 hours of notice for all store enquiries. Creating private client overview, keeping head of atelier aware of deadlines and scheduling production. Coordinating Made to Order’s with factories in London and in Europe Ordering all fabrics, trimmings and materials in house. Creating order forms for each order that is processed to add to the visual ‘wall’ overview. Supporting all sales consultants with general enquiries from the day-to-day running of the store. Swatch books to be updated seasonally both in store & studio Organising deliveries to the store twice per week, with detailed delivery notes. (This can be daily if lots of Rush orders) Coordination of client alterations between store sales consultant, seamstress and atelier. Coordination of head fitters schedule with the store’s weekly client fitting appointments. Creating a Sales Book for each season (four per year):  delivered to store at the same time as the new collection.  This is a book for the store to use to sell MTO from, including all prices and fabric availability.

TECHNICAL

  • Tech packs Oversee & assemble tech packs for all Private Clients orders Source & order all necessary components for production (trims, binding, fusing etc) Provide pattern makers and pattern cutters with a clear technical directive for each project Oversee technical decisions on in house production for Private Clients Quality control of garments (both those made in house and by our external manufacturer) Oversee management and archiving of Private Clients patterns (MTO/MTMB/Bespoke/Bridal) – We are trying to get all of these into the Gerber System) ZEDONK – enter ALL orders into zedonk for all clients, so accounts can view each client and see the margin achieved from final completion, to original approved quote.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee your team of staff and manage work expectations Second in command to help Atelier Director run the workroom.  Take up her responsibilities when she is on annual leave or sick and she will do the same with your role when you are away.
  • Great communication, organizational and leadership skills to help manage a small team and communicate frequently and accurately with the rest of the business A self-starter, able to delegate where appropriate Ability to work cross-functionally, building strong relationships with other departments A team player with great interpersonal skills Flexible at peak times to manage workload and to support Atelier Director on collections, Capsule collections over flow at her peak times if necessary and any further business demands that may arise

ALTERATIONS FROM STORE

  • Check incoming alterations and allocate these to seamstress. Fitting photos are provided for better visuals for the machinist to gauge alterations. It is also advisable to speak with the fitter (often the machinist making alterations will not have been in the fitting) and reiterate any key information to ensure that everything is clear.

DESIGN

  • Partake in the detailed design process: Involved in all design briefings with the design team and Emilia.
  • Creating client presentations, with sketches provided by design team and fabric suggestions and quotes done by your team Creating beautiful fabric samples for client presentations. Sourcing new fabrics for special bespoke projects with design. Coordinating embroidery designs with Indian manufactures for bespoke bridal with design.

STORE

  • Weekly meetings with 'Store Management’ & Senior Consultants to review all current client list/quotes/presentations and ensuring you are all on the same page for client orders. Monthly face-to-face meetings with all store staff.   Head of production to also be present. Organisation of deliveries to and from store
    • Deliveries of MTO/MTMB/Bespoke/Bridal Deliveries of fabric swatches/colour cards for clients Return of all alterations completed in house

• Liaising on any technical enquiries relating to the daily alteration of pieces for Private Clients/store walk ins

FINANCIAL

• Keeping records of all invoices and inputting information into Zedonk per client

• Regularly liaising with finance department to have full transparency with studio orders and any petty cash

LIFESTYLE & HOMEWARE

  • Upcoming future lifestyle / Homeware, oversee the potential growth for the EW brand Swimwear and PJ lifestyle capsule collections
