Creative Patternmaker

Acne Studios is recruiting a creative patternmaker, with the task to deliver high quality patterns with clear information to in-house atelier or suppliers for the designated product group. This is a role where you will get the opportunity to develop close partnership with different departments and suppliers while actively contribute to the creative process of high-end quality collections in a progressive fashion house.

The role

This is a role that entails participation in fit sessions, and provide proactive inputs to ensure further development and production processes run smoothly. You will be responsible for pattern quality from sketch handover to last production fitting. As a creative patternmaker, you will interact closely with inhouse atelier regarding construction and finishings and serve as a technical resource to product development and design teams. Further, you will work closely with cross functional partners of the designated product group during the development process, show preparations and production phase. You will report to head of pattern and atelier and belong to the product and design department.

This is a full time position.

You

We are looking for someone with academic degree within design and/or patternmaking. Preferably, you have at least 5 years of experience as a patternmaker in an international high-end fashion brand. You need to have good understanding of the creative process and be creative in experimental pattern solutions. Further, we see that you are proficient in CAD pattern software (e.g. Gerber or Lectra). Experience from CLO is meriting. To manage this role, you should be organized, cooperative with a strong follow-through as well as able to work efficiently towards tight deadlines. You have high aspirations and understand the importance of excellence. You act with integrity at all times and have a natural ability to influence and build trust. You value simplicity over complexity and are guided by impact rather than prestige. You are pragmatic and hands-on and get things done. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and teamwork are highly valued. And ideally, you enjoy working in a creative international environment with a wide range of personalities.
