JOB PURPOSE
The Merch Planning Operations Assistant role operates within the Global Merchandise Planning Operations team, supporting the team in core responsibilities across planning & reporting. This role will leverage data available centrally as well as coordinate with our regional and divisional partners to drive analysis which supports key business objectives & decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collection OTB
• Support the seasonal sales & inventory planning process, overseeing operational tasks & analysis, including:
o Building & maintain Excel planning templates
o Creating summaries & dashboards
o Creating ad-hoc analysis to highlight key risks & opportunity to the company.
• Working with Regional Planning & Divisional Planning to drive continual improvement & development of tools, reporting & processes.
• Own the consolidation & reconciliation of large amounts of data for subsequent analysis & insights.
Reporting Centre of Excellence
• Support weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting, as required.
• Support the creation of new reporting, & enhancement of existing reporting, to deliver analysis & insights to the business.
• Data retrieval, manipulation & consolidation of large datasets
• Analysis of ad-hoc data & reports, adding commercial insights & linking across departments
• Developing systems expertise & close partnership with IT & the wider business to continue Merchandise Planning Operation's centre of excellence for BW, Excel & commercial reporting
Wholesale Orderbook
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Orderbook reporting templates and its delivery each market
• Partnering with BI & IT teams to ensure the accuracy of the supporting data
PERSONAL PROFILE
• Excellent / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong financial acumen and experience
• Highly analytical, organised, and detail oriented
• Driven and Ambitious, with aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment
• Fast study / quick learner
• High results orientation
• Problem solver, with an ability to drive results despite ambiguity and obstacles
• Flexible, willing and able to manage multiple and potentially competing priorities
• Ability to provide both quantitative and qualitative analysis of data
• A team player with a strong customer service orientation
• Experience with SAP / Business Warehouse / Business Objects would be advantageous
