About Trust and Authentication at Vestiaire
Authentication is part of Vestiaire Collective DNA and a strategic differentiator: we pioneered pre-loved fashion authentication expertise 12 years ago to enable trust between buyers and sellers. Quality Control ensures items' conditions are in line with buyer expectations. The experts and controllers operating in our authentication centres are constantly trained with knowledge continuously updated, following both fashion and counterfeit trends.
About the role
The Expertise Development Manager will report to the VP Authentication & Quality Control and will be managing a team of (currently) 4 people . You work mainly with Operations Managers worldwide, Business Process Owner, L&D Manager and Data Analysts. As Expertise Development Manager, you will be responsible to ensure Vestiaire Collective authentication experts and quality controllers remain the best-in-class benchmark. The Expertise Development Manager will achieve this by ensuring continuous research, documentation and training efforts are properly planned and executed within the organisation. The Expertise Development Manager innovate and leverage technology to scale. This position is Paris based with occasional travel.
Missions :
- Build & maintain best-in-class Authentication & QC knowledge base relevant to our catalogue
- Train & graduate Vestiaire Collective Authenticators and Quality Controllers along their career path, supporting business growth
What you'll be doing
- You will lead a team responsible to research authentication tips, analyse breach, produce knowledge base, build training program and support training
- You will strategise, plan and execute continuous knowledge update
- You will continuously refine & standardise processes so as training methodologies
- You will define the learning journey and tools to maximise expertise accuracy & consistency
- You will define evaluation approach to graduate experts and controllers
- You will measure, drive and report team impact
- You will evaluate and implement technology opportunities to scale
Who you are
- You have at least 3 years of experience in managing operations teams
- Strong personal drive, you have highest standards and aim for excellence
- Passionate about developing other's talent
- Successfully designed & implemented workable solutions on the field, before scaling them
- Development and implementation of training program a plus
- Customer and solution oriented
- Structured, organized, creative and motivated by startup mindset
- Ensure your team processes are executed on time, look for continuous improvement
- Enjoy working as a team-player and learning from others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (French is a plus)
- Experience in Fashion, Luxury or e-commerce is a plus
