About THE ROLE

The Central Planning and Buying team is responsible for the selection, range building and product strategy for the Region North (UK, Ireland, Netherlands and the Nordics). In a constantly changing retail environment, we strive to build the best assortment for each of our retail, wholesale and concession partners based upon customer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape.

Working closely with all key retail and store teams (Merchandising, Wholesale, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising), collaboration, strong communication and a passion for opportunity and success are the foundations for this team.

Reporting into the Planner, the Junior Planner plays a key role in delivering the range strategy for a number of divisions for one of our brands (Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klein) across the whole of Region North. Focusing on our seasonal ranges they work closely with the wider Buying and Planning team to ensure a cohesive and unified strategy across multiple sales channels and countries.

Responsibilities include:
  • Drive key department KPIs such as: increase ASP (Average Selling Price), improve productivity rates, analyse option efficiencies and synergies across all channels and markets
  • Support and maintain the optimal seasonal ranges in accordance with defined business processes and deadlines
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across all of Region North, both virtually and in-person
  • Support the Planner throughout the budgeting process across Retail and Wholesale
  • Alongside Buying, guide division and category plans for the upcoming buy periods and present to Retail and Wholesale stakeholders
  • Aligns with both NOS (Never Out of Stock) Planning team and Buying teams to ensure full range offer is cohesive and focused
  • Manage and propose OTB (Open to Buy) opportunities with Retail teams and align with wider range planning strategy
  • Work with Wholesale teams to support in season trading across a number of partners
  • Manage central planning documents ensuring key deadlines are hit for both Retail and Wholesale central functions
  • Determine sizing strategy based on in-depth analysis.
  • Optimise range performance through micro-range analysis and reporting, working with the trading teams
  • Support in delivering the planned sales and profitability across the divisions through effective planning and working with Buying and Merchandising teams for in-season trading
  • Work very closely with Retail teams to ensure smooth process for new stores and refit stores
  • Support in-post season analysis and feedback creation for Retail and Wholesale channels
  • Maintain planning data/ fields within various systems: SAP BW/ HANA, Excel
  • Motivate, lead and develop your Assistant Planner. Set the highest standards and ensuring that they are motivated and working towards additional responsibilities


About YOU
  • You're working at a Junior Merchandiser/Planner or Assistant Merchandiser/Planner level (or equivalent) ready for the next step
  • You build great relationships with Buyers to Inspire Trust and use your stakeholder management skills to Collaborate to Win
  • You Connect to Consumers and Make Informed Decisions together to deliver customer-centric solutions and achieve great results
  • You have experience working in a faced paced environment and can Adapt Fast to the business needs and priorities
  • You're a strong team leader with an ability to manage, motivate and work effectively within a team
  • You're commercially astute and highly analytical, Making Informed Decisions and communicate with impact across all levels
  • You have excellent Excel skills and SAP is preferred
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the current competitive market place
  • You Stay Curious by questioning, acting and learning every day
