16Arlington is looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate to work alongside and report to the design team for a minimum of 3-6 months. This will be an entry-level role offering a comprehensive insight into the workings of a luxury fashion brand, from research to realisation.
We are looking for a candidate who appreciates and respects their role in the company, and the experience they will gain from working closely with the 16Arlington team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and updating technical CAD drawings (Photoshop and Illustrator skills are essential.

  • Research and drape development.

  • Working with the design and development teams to help source trims, fabrics etc.

  • Factory visits and studio errands such as local sourcing of trims, fabrics etc.

  • Tracing and copying patterns

  • Laying and cutting fabrics for toiles and samples

  • Organising and maintaining the studio

  • Assisting the team with fashion week preparations

  • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Kind and well-mannered with a positive attitude

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Good understanding of the fashion industry, some luxury experience is ideal

  • An eye for luxury and appreciation for art and design

  • Discretion given the confidential nature of the work they be involved with. Any breach of

    confidentiality or unapproved posting on social media will not be tolerated

  • Able to respond and adapt to direction

  • Has strong initiative and is highly motivated to learn

  • Organised with thorough attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is essential
