We are currently seeking an Accountant to be based at the Finance Shared Service Centre in Haywards Heath who will report to the Senior Accountant, who is responsible for the statutory accounts and external audit.

Your opportunity

You will work collaboratively within the Finance Shared Services department in order to support on the preparation of the statutory accounts and supporting information required by the external auditors, the development of standardised controls and processes in the Shared Service Centre, and other compliance related finance projects. Under Kering's flexible working policy you will be able to work from home 2 days per week.

How you will contribute

• Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of IFRS 16 lease calculations for the UK statutory accounts
• Support the Financial Controllers across the Finance Shared Service Centre, to ensure that the Tririga lease system is up to date and accurate
• Preparation of excel 'data collection file' used for the creation of statutory accounts
• Preparation of statutory accounts with Brand Financial Controllers
• Assist in the management of the external audit process - active involvement in regular meetings with the external auditors discussing progress and challenges
• Responding to and supporting with queries raised by the external/internal auditors
• Supporting the Senior Accountant to ensure that information required from the respective Financial Control teams is accurate and provided in a timely manner
• Support the Director of Finance and Administration in the development of standardised controls and reconciliations in the shared service department and other finance related projects involving brand finance teams/other departments

Who you are
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA newly qualified or nearly qualified
• Ideally from an audit background
• Experience in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Strong Excel skills, including ability to use complex formulas
• A problem solver with a strong analytical mindset with a high attention to details
• An effective and positive team player with excellent management and communication skills, with an agile, collaborative and inclusive approach
• SAP experience is desirable
• Experience in retail / luxury retail business within a finance function is desirable

Whoyouare
