About This Role: Vivrelle is a high-growth venture-backed start-up in the retail and luxury goods space. We offer a first-of-its-kind membership club that provides access to a shared closet of coveted designer handbags, jewelry and diamonds for a monthly membership fee. With a dedication to making luxury accessories fun, flexible, affordable, and sustainable, Vivrelle provides members with the ability to borrow items with no return date. 

At Vivrelle, our members are at the heart of everything we do. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for translating Vivrelle’s high bar for member experience and customer service to our members’ digital interactions with the brand via our website and mobile app. Our ideal candidate is energized by the opportunity to up-level Vivrelle’s member experience and lead the holistic design strategy involved with our upcoming frontend redesign and migration to a new ecommerce platform.

This full-time position reports directly to the Head of Product in our Manhattan HQ.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Owning all aspects of design for Vivrelle’s new ecommerce site, app, and membership platform – including ideation, research, prototyping, usability testing, and visual design
  • Auditing and redesigning user flows that align with members’ journeys and solve pain points – from submitting applications to being accepted off of our waitlist and placing their first order
  • Discovering opportunities, identifying gaps, and iterating on prototypes that are informed by research and design best-practices while staying true to Vivrelle’s aspirational brand
  • Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, and operations teams to design creative solutions that meet rapidly evolving business requirements
  • Being the voice of Vivrelle members, bringing data, UX design best practices, and flexible solutions to stakeholder conversations and design reviews

Your Skills and Qualifications Include:

  • 4+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer-focused digital products
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, or relevant technical experience
  • Expert level experience with Sketch or Figma and plugins for delivering assets to engineering teams
  • Industry experience in startups, ecommerce, direct-to-consumer, or luxury fashion brands is a major plus (bonus points for membership/subscription-based business models)
  • Experience designing digital products end-to-end (from brief to launch), using learnings to iterate and improve upon on previous assumptions for each subsequent release
  • Experience creating design systems from the ground up that are scalable and tokenized
  • Experience working directly with engineering and product teams to factor engineering complexity into design
  • A portfolio of previous work that showcases excellence in interaction design, visual design, and problem solving
  • A self-starter and team player who is comfortable with ambiguity and open to feedback
  • Scrappiness and ability to think like an owner to tackle issues
  • Customer obsessed and clear understanding of how every technical project impacts Vivrelle members as well as downstream internal operations
