Position Overview
Responsible for design and product oversight for outerwear and headwear with the Head and Lead of PL outerwear Design. Responsible for market and product research, style specification, and materials selection in line with product brief and brand category VLP as directed by team leads and merchandising leads. Provide market and trend research relative to the area of expertise in design including functionality, materials, trim, and animation. Responsible for product definition and communication of product attributes to cross-functional partners of designated styles. Create design within XD templates and maintain accurate digital folders of design boards. Sketch assigned styles with accurate and accessible digital files and folders. Approve proto for aesthetics and attend product fittings and partner with technical teams on garment fit and construction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Research the luxury market as it pertains to product, trim, and construction. Create inspiration XD boards.
• In collaboration with the Concept Design team, receive direction, inspiration/rig from Concept Design to prepare for seasonal kick-off.
• Create CADs according to design briefs and line plans.
• Create design XD boards for design presentation to design leadership.
• Choose/provide development direction for fabrication, components, trims, and branding techniques.
• Attend fittings and partner with the technical team on garment fits and adjustments.
• Ownership of model designs and carry-over models to provide appropriate information to the product development and technical design team.
• Maintain and update all seasonal digital files and folders and internal library storage of raw material submissions.
• Ensure timely calendar adherence for deliverables and be solutions oriented to problem solve any calendar or delivery obstacles to prioritize business deliverables.
• Proactively ideate future product/trim/material concepts for consideration of advanced development for product lead engagement.
• Promote collaboration within cross-functional teams & build strong relationships with extended teams - Technical Design, Fabric, PD, Production, Merchandising, Print/Pattern, Graphics, Trim, Concept teams, PR, Copywriters, & other category design teams

* Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work well in a fast-paced environment
* Affinity and passion for the brand/categories
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Flex PLM, Microsoft Offices
* Excellent knowledge of the Luxury market, materials, and construction
