What's the role about?

As part of our Merchandising department, you’ll be joining as our Merchandiser, who is responsible for in season trading and future planning of stock management within the North America Reiss territory. Ensuring that sales are optimized, and MD reduced across Full Price, Outlet & Terminal goods channels. This role oversees Standalone, Concession, Outlet & Terminal stock management and works alongside Wholesale and Ecommerce business partners

This position is based in NYC offering a hybrid work schedule.


Who you are

  • You have 5-7 years of experience in Merchandising, Sales, Brand Management, or Planning with international exposure and experience
  • Strong attention to detail with expert proficiency of Excel, Brand reporting and allocation systems
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Highly organized and excellent analytical skills to drive key business trading actions
  • You have knowledge of international market and retail landscapes


What you’ll be doing

  • Creating and reviewing a robust grading process for North America at dept level by gender, considering standalone store and partner needs whilst minimizing terminal stock levels and driving sell through
  • Working alongside the global product team with setting the buy quants for future seasons via IAQ tool and buy calculator, to ensure that styles can be allocated as planned to market
  • Supporting new store / market expansion set up and trading to continue business growth in North America
  • Seasonal option by grade by group review ensuring options planned are aligned with space planning within each store by gender aligned with the Visual Merchandising function
  • Work alongside the online partner and wholesale teams to align on total market allocations, ratios and replenishment planning by line
  • Evolve the customer profile of each market within the territory to optimize sales and feedback on trends, commercially taking trading actions to support North America needs across both standalone and concession channels aligned with online and wholesale partners
  • In season grading reviews to highlight over / under performance of stores in market to minimize stock risk and potentialize further trading opportunities
  • Own the North America markdown, promotional and clearance plans to ensure seasonal terminal stock targets are achieved
  • Weekly review of store and online performance to identify and react to selling, ensuring group launch stock and allocations plans are in place across all grades and markets
  • Allocation management within UK branch and product merch function and giving effective communication with Retail, WHS and VM to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with trade decisions
