YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As the Senior Accountant for Zegna, you will play a key role within the Finance group and works with the Finance staff and report to the Accounting Manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reconciliation of US revenue and submitting to headquarters on a monthly basis
  • Importing and reconciling the US payroll along with making adjusting entries at month end
  • Reconciliation of all intercompany transactions between all Zegna companies
  • Importing of all T&E files into SAP, perform reclass entries, and reconciling the general ledger accounts
  • Partner directly with external tax consultants, organize and verify the preparation of requested schedules, review completed tax returns and provide feedback for approval
  • Perform monthly account analysis, including accruals and prepaid and variance explanations
  • Analyze and record monthly general ledger activity for various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes; prepare monthly trial balance for review
  • Assist in the monthly compilation of internal financial statements for corporate management
  • Prepare and file sales tax for 35 states on a monthly/quarterly basis. Prepare use tax schedules for self-assessment
  • Assist in year-end closing and audits
  • Assist with financial audits and tax audits on an annual basis
  • Become proficient the retail register system, as well as the retail reporting tool
  • Develop and maintain accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Other special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Prior tax experience is a must
  • SOX compliance experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills: Excel a must; SAP, SAP BPC, AS 400 and Cognos are a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels in the organization
