The Network Solution Architect will be responsible for supporting the strategy and delivering a global roadmap for network services. This is a key role within the Global Network & Infrastructure Organisation which will work closely with the business to ensure solutions, products and services meet business requirements and demands.


  • As part of the Network Architecture team help to shape the strategy and future roadmap.
  • Proof-of-Concept projects, lab trials, vendor/technology evaluation
  • Work with Burberry delivery project managers and network delivery engineers to provide technical guidance for new network designs and solutions, assisting with migration planning and assurance.
  • Customer/partner engagements
  • Working closely with Architects and Security Architects, other functional area Technical Architects, Programme and project managers, and wider business users to ensure robust, highly performing, reliable and scalable network solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms.
  • Leading the development of network evolution use cases and long-term network architecture in collaboration with business stakeholders, partners and fellow technical architects.
  • Designing and recommending network solutions to align with business, process and application requirements.
  • Providing advice and consultation to various teams throughout the business on matters relating to network design and operation, including mentoring of network engineers and analysts.
  • Identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Delivering business cases for various solution architectures, and high level design.
  • Carrying out procurement and vendor selection, through to low level implementation and handover to operational teams.


  • A minimum of 8 Years' experience working within the network operations and delivery space
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organised, detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Can work individually but wants to be part of a highly motivated team with lots of ambition.
  • Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each project.
  • Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Willingness to develop professionally.
