The Director, Corporate Communications is responsible for leading the global Corporate Communications team within the Public Relations function. This person is charged with generating affinity and desire for the Tiffany brand, while protecting and enhancing the reputation of the Company. The Director, Corporate Communications will lead the announcement strategy for all brand news (non product related), serve as global media relations leader for consumer facing and brand enhancing feature opportunities and profiles, as well as handle all business and trade media. In addition, the role will direct the executive communications of select senior management spokespeople; drive sustainability communications including charitable collection PR strategy; and maintain oversight of PR measurement, community affairs and finance for Global Public Relations.

External Communications Strategy : Develop and lead the strategy surrounding consumer-facing, brand elevating news, as well as Company announcements and issues management, cultivating relationships with key top-tier press. Topics include new campaigns, collaborations, designer profiles, new store openings, and other brand news - with the support of an External Communications Manager. Develop brand press materials, including quote banks, press releases, speeches, talking points, Q&As and holding statements. Serve as a Company spokesperson as necessary.

Storytelling: Partner internally on storytelling across Tiffany owned channels (.com, social and the press website), ensuring timely and coordinated dissemination of compelling news across Tiffany platforms.

Executive Communications : Lead communications for key executive spokespeople, including the CEO, CAO, CSO and Chief Gemologist. Identify, vet and secure strategic press interviews and speaking opportunities aligned with brand objectives. Develop and disseminate global spokesperson guidelines and facilitate media trainings for authorized global and regional spokespeople.

Sustainability : Direct communications strategy surrounding the Company's sustainability initiatives, relating both to its brand leadership (with a focus on diamond craftsmanship), and strategic philanthropy via charitable collections and The Tiffany & Co. Foundation (with a focus on conservation).

Company-wide Collaboration & Functional Support of Global PR : Build and maintain strong company-wide relationships to ensure global alignment, including with Internal Communications, Brand Management, Regional PR, Sustainability and Creative . Oversee functions supporting the Global Public Relations team, including PR measurement and analysis, community affairs giving, and finance management.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' public relations/communications experience
  • Established public relations experience, preferably in-house for globally recognized and admired brands
  • Proven experience managing top-tier press for leading brands
  • Accomplished professional with experience supporting C-suite executives
  • Excellent organizational, communication and written skills, attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to shift priorities and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to creatively solve complex situations and implement processes.
  • Must be strategic - then apply steps to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated interest and ability for Tiffany & Co. business
  • Analytical skills must be well-tuned
  • Must be able to lead and develop staff
  • Diplomatic communication style with s trong interpersonal skills

The hiring range for this position ranges from $140,420 - $198,240. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon
candidates' relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
