The Team

The Process Development department works with all product divisions for the two main brands Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. The department drives synergies and streamlines processes and tools across the product divisions and central functions to raise efficiency and drive profitability. It acts as a link between business areas and IT to provide new developments, new tools, fulfill training needs and support on day to day business in the area of Merchandising, Sales, Markets, Vendors, Purchasing, Retail and Logistics. The department also works cross-functionally with other teams in Central Operations, Finance and International Markets departments.

The Position

The position will sit in the Product and Price team, which is a sub team of the Process Development department. The environment of Product development and design is rapidly changing, in terms of digitalization and 3D design. This role will focus on the Merchandise processes from range planning until digital collection review. You will help to guide the digital transformation and fulfil the bridge between the business teams and IT operations (internal and external).

As the Manager Process Development Merchandising you will be responsible for initiating and delivering projects and changes covering merchandise related processes, e.g. the implementation of a new assortment tool and supporting future range planning process improvements. Next to that you will help our business stakeholders to design and optimize our way of working.

The role will report directly into the Senior Director Process Development - Product and Price. There will be a close cooperation with the Senior Manager Product Design & Development and multiple teams like Merchandising, IT and divisional teams.

Key responsibilities:
  • Initiate and deliver projects and initiatives regarding Merchandise processes within PVH.
  • Managing and planning the implementation of a selected assortment tool within the organization.
  • Managing and planning of other merchandise related, cross departmental projects initiated by the Process Development team.
  • Acts as a key member to analyze, validate and design new processes and IT enhancements in projects within the merchandise planning area.
  • Support cross departmental projects, initiated by other departments, with expertise of Merchandise processes.
  • Improve ways of effective working
  • Works closely together with other members of the Process Development team to ensure alignment with other systems and applications.
  • Supports the Senior Director Process Development - Product & Price on analyzing business processes and delivering projects.

The ideal candidate:
  • University Degree in Business Economics, Management or equivalent, at an internationally minded Business School
  • 8-10 years of experience in Merchandising, preferably within the fashion/retail industry. Which brings a deep knowledge of range planning, assortment building processes and tools
  • Consulting experience is a pre
  • Experienced in Agile methodology, project management and project planning
  • Strong affinity with IT and experience in tool implementation, systems integration and managing IT changes.
  • Ability to understand and map complex (supply chain) processes.
  • Excellent written and spoken language skills in English and ability to work in multi-cultural & multi-lingual environment
  • Excellent MS-Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Knowledge of PLM is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills, strong team player with ability to influence others
  • Ambitious, motivated and able to perform in hectic and changing work environment
  • Problem solver and "can do" mentality
