ROLE OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Brand will join Fashion Nova's core leadership team to serve as custodians and stewards of this brand: defining and synchronizing a sustainable global framework and narrative; infusing pride in the brand; and developing a sharpness of storytelling. This role will continue not only to develop the brand with a passion for and in service of its present customer, but also ideate and implement ways to expand its reach without sacrificing its existing base. You will have a seat at the leadership table in defining and shaping what that brand extension could look and feel like as the company expands internationally.

The Vice President of Brand will be a leader who is passionate about disruptive brands and innovative marketing, who is fundamentally curious about this new-age and unexplored consumer and be excited to apply your brand architecture and development expertise. You will appreciate public relations, entertainment, and experiential marketing as key levers to driving brand relevance and growth and will bring actionable connections to the world of influencers and entertainers.

This role is expected to play a multi-faceted role in today's highly complex and dynamic world of brands with ever changing consumers and their beliefs. The ideal candidate needs to be alert and sensitive to consumer feedback and trends in the market to translate them into insights, bringing compelling brand stories to life, managing the image of the brand, increasing the value of the brand, and building a unified culture around the brand.

The Vice President of Brand will form a human bridge between logic and magic, strategy, and design. It is imperative that they understand consumer behavior and expectations. They need to understand their emotions across the customer journey, especially at key moments and they need to anticipate their needs.

The Vice President of Brand will become the brand's conscience and will protect and amplify the voice of the brand within the business enterprise so everyone knows what actions will contribute to building the brand and which actions will not.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to keep pace in a highly fluid, ever-changing, collaborative workplace. You must also have excellent communication skills in order to engage the attention of our experienced leadership team and influence|respond to complexities with a high level of technical acumen.

Traditional playbooks and approaches will not work; this Vice President of Brand must exhibit the ability to be agile and pivot in real time - defined by your ability to accompany strategic insights with a 'sleeves rolled up' clear sense of purpose, execution, and delivery.

Finally, you will thrive in autonomy, and be given the freedom to execute a large and flexible budget supported by leaders with strong track records of brand-building expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop the company's brand image by designing and implementing a brand strategy
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to establish a Unique Sales Proposition (USP) and brand messaging that would set us apart from competitors
  • Supervise the creation of marketing assets such as slogans, visual materials, articles, etcetera, as a representation of the brand and a way of creating and fostering a long-term relationship with consumers
  • Identify new, innovative strategies and platforms to actively engage customers across company via a diverse marketing mix
  • Design and implement creative development plans across online channels to help the company continue to pioneer ultra-fast fashion across new global markets and existing customer bases
  • Develop strategies to expand the brand to new audiences, such as building relationships with key influencers, celebrities, industry thought leaders, etcetera
  • Ensure customer service, advertising, marketing, and other activities align with the established brand image
  • Modify the brand image as necessary to reposition the company within the market
  • Measure campaign results and formulating initiatives to enhance the efforts and reach higher objectives

NECESSARY SKILLS

Philosopher - Constantly shaping the purpose and always asking 'why', getting to the true essence to the brand.

Coach - Ensuring all team members are brand custodians and advocate for the organization.

Scientist - Executing the brand strategy through digital channels - constantly experimenting to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.

Creative - Working with the marketing team and agencies to ensure the brand vision comes to life through engaging and creative messaging, across all forms of media.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • BA|BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field. MBA preferred
  • Ten plus years of experience in a directorial role in Marketing, Advertising, and|or Public Relations in the fashion, eCommerce, or beauty industry
  • Experience with social media advertising on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etcetera
  • Knowledge of analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Fathom Analytics, and Matomo
  • Experience with content marketing and SEO
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
  • Schedule of this position: Monday - Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
