ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for managing the overall health of vendor accounts. This role will perform multiple vendor statement reconciliations daily, identify discrepancies and correspond internally and externally to resolve. This individual must operate with an emphasis on customer service to internal and external customers as a priority to maintain Accounts Payable standards of consistency. This individual must be a self-starter, work independently and quickly adapt to changing business requirements.

This role must have an aptitude for multi-tasking, using technology to improve traditional processes, technically savvy as we use various tools to improve accounts payable functions for all business processes. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple process areas and work closely with cross functional teams within the organization.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to keep pace in a highly fluid, ever-changing, collaborative workplace. You must also have excellent communication skills and have a true passion for people.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process supplier vendor set up from various business onboarding processes
  • Process non-merchandise invoices with an emphasis on finding efficiencies
  • Seek out and reconcile statements from vendors to identify and resolve issues and monitor for process improvement
  • Review and respond to vendor inquiries with an emphasis on customer service and satisfaction
  • Review of non-merchandise invoice for errors
  • Assist in year-end 1099 reporting
  • Monitor overall health; non-merchandise aging and resolve aged items accordingly, including unvouchered receipts
  • Participate in other process improvement projects; monitor data integrations to/from bank, monitor data integrations to|from Accounts Payable automation software provider
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and special projects (E.G. LEADING LARGE-SCALE PROJECTS, ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, ETCETERA)

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting degree preferred, or equivalent established work experience
  • Business capable aptitude and experience with Accounts Payable automation implementations and ability to understand Accounts Payable requirements for Technology
  • At least four years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level excel and established experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF|IS formulas
  • Experience with procure-to-pay tools a plus such as Ariba or Coupa is required
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as independently
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks|initiatives, and multi-task responsibilities
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
  • Schedule of this position: Monday - Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
