POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for designing Enterprise-wide solutions to include specific expertise in Digital, E-Commerce and Cloud solutions.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Accountable for leading, developing, and delivery of E-Commerce architecture for Chico's commerce function. This includes domain models, principles, current-state and target state architectures, and roadmaps.
  • Drives innovation in the E-Commerce domain (Cloud Adoption, Microservices, Omni-Channel initiatives, Personalization, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence).
  • Writes functional, technical and architecture specifications and diagrams for feature enhancements, integrations, and solutions.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability to back decisions with research and the "why," and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.
  • Responsible for defining the incremental state architectures, design patterns, and implementing best practices for E-Commerce.
  • Partners with external vendor partners as needed to implement solutions.
  • Serves as the Digital E-Commerce expert and spearheads all facets of Chico's Digital Initiatives.
  • Partners and builds trusted relationships with key stakeholders, Digital Product Owners, Engineers to drive and manage the technology planning, solutioning and implementation for large, strategic, complex multi-system Commerce projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered
  • 7+ years of overall experience with Digital ecosystem and E-Commerce domain (E-Commerce, PIM, Search, Order Management Systems, Loyalty, Digital Marketing)
  • 3+ years of experience as a Digital/eCommerce Architect (preferably in Retail domain)
  • Extensive experience in supporting large scale E-Commerce implementations
  • Experience with one or more public clouds GCP, Azure, AWS
  • Experience with modern microservices architecture using Service Mesh, API Gateways, Cloud Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven track record in setting and defining architectural solutions and designs aligned with target architecture; GraphQL, RESTful API development, microservices development, solid understanding of design impacts to performance, security, resiliency, and maintainability.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, node.js, React/Angular, CDNs will be a big plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication ability
