This position is responsible for using expert skills in reporting and complex analytics to explore and identify influences on behavior. This role supports the entire Chico's US segment, requiring a broad understanding across the entire business to enable collaboration with multiple business stakeholders to gain an understanding of complex organizational problems from varied perspectives. This role influences the business to redefine the problem statement and designs multi-stage, data-driven solutions to real-world problems. This position is athought leader and influencer for data driven decisions using several analytical tools for reporting and creating meaningful data visualizations that provide the business with tools to make better business decisions.

  • Translates complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and design, develop, implement, and maintain dashboards or visualization solution.
  • Builds interactive and complex data visualizations using complex datasets from different sources.
  • Primary responsibilities include generating insights and analysis support by providing guidance to the team related to key metrics of the business by developer, by project.
  • Creates and develops BI Dashboards (Tableau) Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for analytical demonstration to stakeholders that ultimately will transfer to project teams for end-use productional development.
  • Responsible for defining KPI's, reviewing all data sources to create and pull all data into functional dashboards
  • Combines multiple data sets, determining the best approach and variables, Drilling to the root cause through analysis and business knowledge.
  • Advises business partners with regards to patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes.
  • Use data visuals to tell stories that informs the who, what, when, where, and how to be able to understand our customers and the key factors driving their behavior in addition to showing competitive data to make better business decisions.
  • Develops visualizations utilizing traditional proven graphics as well as innovative graphics concepts.
  • Translates data and packages it into both high level and granular consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Manages multiple simultaneous initiatives driving business strategy through data and analytics for various cross functional team members.
  • Evaluates complex, cross-functional business situations, supported by next generation customer analytics that may include automation and/or data visualizations depending on business needs in hopes to modernize, simplify and adapt to the changing digital environment to ultimately derive actionable insights to drive top and bottom-line.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively to decision makers with any means necessary including oral and written presentations and by providing supporting documentation including PowerPoint presentations, Word, Excel, Tableau visualizations or other methods of communication that support insights or analysis for cross functional team members such as Digital Strategy, Merchandising, Marketing, C-Level, Executive Leadership teams, Analytics team, and other external and internal partners.

  • 10+ years of Director of analytics team of at least 5 direct reports involving teams such as data engineering, data visualization/reporting teams, data science, and business analysis or functional-specific analyst (sales, marketing, finance, digital, strategy, supply chain, etc.)
  • 10+ years Creating Data Dashboard
  • 5+ years analytic experience with Nielsen, IRI, or NPD competitive market landscape data, including deep understanding of metrics and relevant KPI's to assess market that include mining data, reviewing, and summarizing results
  • 5+ years with consumer-based analytics, including POS, 1st party, 3rd party data analytics, that include mining data, reviewing and summarizing results of consumer behavior, consumer demographics, digital consumer analytics, consumer competitive spending, and/or consumer mobile spending data
  • 3+ years with category management best practices for various categories for breadth and depth knowledge/ experience that include mining data, reviewing, and summarizing results
  • 3+ years with market research concepts including quantitative and qualitative data types, such as reviewing market research survey results and summarizing findings
  • Comfortable presenting thoughts, ideas, and formal presentations involving persuasive topics with supportive analytics towards any audience including c-level, business partners and senior leadership
  • Experience with keynote public speaking engaging larger audience encompassing company- wide or divisional-wide audiences
