JOB PURPOSE

Collect and report into the system all the activities and the information required to define Shoes product costs at different stage of development process, from estimates to final seasonal cost at POs confirmation. Provide a deep cost analysis and cost comparison.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse and understand Cost Sheets Breakdown received from the Vendor and highlight cost challenges where needed.
  • Able to use Cost Engineering best practises, processes and tools to optimize product cost.
  • Understand, maintain and populate the cost engineering tools
  • Be able to develop internal product cost estimate.
  • Partner with Product Development, Raw Materials and Product Engineering teams to gather all cost information starting from the early development stages.
  • Partner with Merchandising team in order to gather all information on Target costs,
  • Follow the product cost variations during all development stages (from Prototype to Sampling).
  • Monitor cost performance in production.
  • Analyse carry forward cost at beginning of season.
  • Identify and propose Cost Savings opportunities by analysing and understanding vendors cost sheet breakdown.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Degree level in Management Engineering or similar
  • Experience with a leather good or related industry would be ideal
  • Proficiency in Italian is needed
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Advanced use of Excel
  • Experience on hard accessories would be an advantage
