Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team to lead the development and execution of our global social media strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Global Marketing and supported by an in-house Creative and Copy team, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for leading, executing and optimising the social media strategy of the Chupi brand, bringing the brand to life in the most native and relevant way across the organic social network. They will consistently raise brand awareness and desirability by elevating the brand’s storytelling through quality content, creating valuable social experiences for the Chupi social community.

The Social Media Manager is someone who has a passion for being on the cutting edge of social platform best practice, is up to date on the latest content trends, and is a natural creative social story-teller. They’ll be passionate about working in the luxury space and delivering an unrivalled customer experience across all organic social channels. The role will require both creative and organisational skills, switching between content creation, planning, scheduling, and compiling reports, therefore a deep curiosity for analytics and an excellent eye for creative design are essential.


Primary responsibilities

  • Own the organic social media strategy, presenting new, innovative and creative ideas to drive follower engagement and drive growth.

  • Run all social media channels for the company, owning the planning, execution and scheduling of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.

  • Responsible for the definition of the social content strategy to increase user engagement, creating captivating content to drive audience engagement, growth and brand awareness across all social media channels.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the social editorial calendar, maintaining the balance of storytelling and selling; ensuring content is in line with the Marketing Commercial calendar and product deliveries.

  • You will shoot and edit lo fi social content mainly for Tiktok, Instagram Reels, stories and other channels on a fast turnaround, working closely with the Creative Team in order to ensure content is on brand.

  • You will be required to attend brand campaign shoots and events to support with content creation, editing and live posting/streaming.

  • Work closely with the Creative team in developing entertaining, customer centric content to elevate our storytelling as a brand and engage & attract new audiences.

  • Ensure social media activity is aligned with the e-commerce marketing channel calendar, continuously finding new ways to work together with channels to drive conversion.

  • Liaising with the e-Commerce team on all paid social media campaigns, ensuring activities align and enhance the overall organic social media strategy.

  • Respond in real time to new content and cultural moments, partnering with the Communications team to amplify press, VIP and influencer stories.

  • Cultivate an always-on approach to Instagram stories utilising collection, press and UGC assets.

  • Building and ongoing management of reporting and analysis for all social media performance and actively monitor benchmarks.

  • Manage budget for organic social content production, third party content creators and any third party tools.

  • Keep informed of competitor social media activity and adjust plans accordingly.

  • Constantly test and develop content through established and new formats.


Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in a digital marketing or editorial role in a luxury brand environment

  • Proficient in the use of social media platforms, content management systems, Google Analytics, social media monitoring platforms and native analytics. Able to interpret and apply data to influence strategic content plans.

  • Passionate about social media, culture, and luxury.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to present their strategy to relevant stakeholders in the business.

  • Creative, innovative and willing to contribute ideas and professional opinion.

  • Experience in creating and delivering quality social content across Instagram Reels, Stories, Tiktok, Facebook and Youtube.

  • Experience in working with Creative and Copy teams.

  • Luxury industry and jewellery experience & awareness of the market is beneficial.

  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Proactive, innovative and open minded.

  • eCommerce experience is beneficial but not essential.

  • Experience in paid social is beneficial but not essential.
