In order to be prepared for the challenges presented by a digital world in the future, we in Group Finance & Tax aim to adapt dynamically to new circumstances and be open to new ideas. Our job is to ensure the correct application of complex accounting and tax regulations as well as to prepare correct and complete financial statements. Our aim is to ensure financial transparency in the Group. To this end, we develop uniform processes and guidelines for all accounting/tax/treasury topics. We also advise our internal customers on further developing their operational processes and implementing strategic initiatives always striving to actively contribute to the successful implementation of the CLAIM 5 growth strategy.

What you can expect:

  • As part of your area of responsibility, you successfully support our internal business partners on VAT-related issues as part of Group-wide projects and provide assessments for complex VAT issues.
  • As part of your role, you are responsible for the VAT topics of HUGO BOSS AG, working closely with the business departments involved to execute our Claim 5 strategy.
  • In addition, you support our Group entities in communications with local ad-visors regarding VAT issues and the implementation of new reporting obliga-tions.
  • You ensure timely and complete VAT reporting for the German entities and independently perform analyses and corresponding data controls, as well as the monthly execution and plausibility check of VAT data.
  • You are part of the Tax CMS project team and responsible for monitoring all aspects of the VAT processes.
  • You will actively work on ideas to simplify and optimize VAT related processes and the system landscape in close cooperation with our IT team as part of our SAP S/4 HANA migration strategy.
  • You proactively stay up to date on changing regulatory requirements, the latest trends and technologies in your area of responsibility and share your insights with the team.
  • Assisting in the professional development of team members as well as the supervision and coaching of interns rounds out your job profile.


Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed your studies in business administration / economics. A passed tax advisor exam would be advantageous.
  • In addition, you have multiple years of experience (> 5 years) in the tax depart-ment of an internationally operating and listed group with a focus on VAT, or relevant experience at a consulting company.
  • You have strong knowledge of VAT regulations and SAP FI/CO.
  • You enjoy experimenting with new technologies as well as data management.
  • Your way of working is proactive and solution-oriented, with a high degree of personal ownership.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, conceptual skills and a strong customer fo-cus.
  • You are able to communicate complex VAT issues in a clear and concise and understandable manner, both in English and German (B1 level).
