THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As Head of Product Management for the Search, Browse, and Personalisation team, you will help lead the charge to deliver on the customer promise of a tailored experience on Zalando which helps customers discover products for their individual needs. In your role, you will drive changes to how customers are understood, build out new platforms and capabilities to deliver the right experiences, and ensure the team has the right set of quality data to drive continuous improvements. This includes ML products which understand customer intent and match that to specific customer experiences while browsing Zalando, explicit and implicit data enablement (both gathering and quality evaluation), and platform creation to help collect, manage, and improve how customers are targeted for specific experiences. Together with your team of software engineers, design, and product peers you will be responsible for building out flexible capabilities that help improve discovery for customers based on partner/business needs. This is a pivotal role in the team to help us shift focus to embrace platforming and data quality.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
  • Product methods & tools: you have a strong track record of envisioning, developing and building successful platform and capability products, ideally in an online service marketplace or e-commerce environment. You are able to contribute to and explain a product strategy for your area.
  • Customer mindset: you have the ability to understand customer needs and turn them into remarkable products. You are experienced in conducting insights with user research and product discovery to provide the voice of the customer, creating the right stories that give our users what they need (and not just what they want). Affinity for fashion, beauty, and care domains and understanding of the industry is a plus.
  • Multiple domains: you have experience in working closely with cross functional teams in Design, Engineering, and Data Science.
  • Data Quality & Big Data: you have experience in handling big data and ensuring top data quality.
  • Platform Services & Multi Partner Solutions you have built/managed successful platforms and established multi partner solutions in various business domains.
