Position Overview
Lead the team managing North America shop-in-shop projects from schematic design through completion, ensuring successful and timely completion of all projects. Project types range from new construction to full renovations, refreshes and multi-site fixture roll-outs, within various department stores in North America.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead team responsible for managing all North America shop-in-shop projects from design to completion, overseeing all phases of the projects.
* Implement project management best practices and continually evaluate current processes to ensure projects are managed effectively.
* Develop and manage schedules, maintaining constant communication with all internal stakeholders, suppliers and service provides, to ensure projects are delivered on time.
* Monitor project status throughout the entire life of the project.
* Order surveys and coordinate execution as needed.
* Implement and manage weekly calls with key suppliers and service providers to assess production/construction progress and ensure projects remain on schedule. Issue meeting minutes to document weekly outcomes of calls.
* Develop and manage project budgets, tracking all costs and change orders through the life of the project.
* Oversee project closeout with Finance partners.
* Bid projects with pre-approved suppliers, level bids and award projects. Issue POs and reconcile invoices.
* Issue POs to suppliers and service provides, and reconcile invoices.
* Evaluate and onboard new service providers, as needed.
* Partner with Architecture & Design Lead on project execution details, to ensure all projects are executed per design intent.
* Schedule and lead pre-installation calls with accounts, suppliers and internal architects. Once project is installed, coordinate timely completion of all snagging items.
* Add new projects to global tracker and keep project data up to date to enable reporting
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* Advanced of experience in project management and construction management for commercial projects.
* Experience with multi-site rollouts and North America department stores preferred, but not required.
* Ability to manage a large number of projects simultaneously, in various stages of design development and construction.
* Extensive experience developing and implementing project management processes and best-practices.
* Extensive experience managing large CAPEX.
* Highly organized and process oriented.
* Great attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project. Smartsheet knowledge preferred, but not required.
* Knowledge of millwork standards, details and construction.
