SKIMS is a solutions-oriented brand creating the future of underwear, shapewear and loungewear.

 

We’re disrupting the industry with our game-changing product and culturally driven creative, and are looking for a Product Development Manager for our Intimates and Shapewear category to join us in building the next generation of intimates.

 

 

The Production Development Manager works closely between the Vendors, Planning, Product Development, Design and Merchandising teams to ensure garments produced are within company timelines, quality standards and margin goals. 

The Production Manager ensures all vendors are compliant.

 

Responsibilities:

Reports into the SVP of production

Maintains purchasing, scheduling and inventory control for Raw Materials with all vendors

Review seasonal RM and trim selections with Design and Merchandising

Ensures quality of raw materials are to standard by implementing raw material testing guidelines

Collect, review and approve or reject seasonal testing from testing laboratory prior to factory shipments

Ensures current compliance certifications are on file for all suppliers

Maintains purchasing and scheduling for Finished Goods

Receive all signed standards and pass to factory in a timely manner

Coordinate with PO admin to manage purchase order setup, including size breakdowns to distribute to vendors

Alongside the VP of Product, assist with final cost negotiation once orders have been passed

Track top of production samples ensure that they are received in a timely manner and meet quality expectations

Maintains Production Steps throughout the Company Calendar, collect and manage weekly WIP reports from factory

Ensures Production Coordinator receives packing slips, update WIP report, and track open balances

Advise cross functional teams on delivery/margin challenges as they arise

Monitor factory ship dates

 

Manage cost sheet with cross functional team from proto, SMS to Production stage

Build department’s work-in-process report from pre-production through production

Drive weekly cross functional meetings covering pre-production and production deliverables

Troubleshoot with key personnel on problematic styles before they become larger issues

Actively review Sales bookings against cancel dates and production in distribution center dates

Alert Merchandising and Customer Service of problems and resolutions as they arise

Ad-hoc projects as assigned

 

 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years with Raw Material and Production development experience.

Bachelor’s degree required

Must be able to travel Domestically and Internationally

Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Word and Full Circle, Netsuite is a plus

Excellent verbal and written skills

Positive and dependable attitude

Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment

Effective time management and ability to stay organized

Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs
