About THE ROLE(s)

AFG Wholesale is a major player and contributor to the success of the Global business.   Operating digitally through our Partner software NuOrder by Lightspeed, our wholesale environment offers an engaging client experience allowing our team to maximise relationships each and every day.

Our Agency and Distributor team are a group of truly passionate individuals all striving for excellence and to be at the top of their game. They operate autonomously and have support of our HQ team to think differently, constantly driving sales.

Reporting to the Director of Design & Wholesale, the GM is accountable for identifying, developing, and implementing a sales strategy for their Territory that drives growth and profitability.

They will play a true leadership role responsible for bringing the AFG Wholesale vision to life. They will oversee and drive operations whilst developing and coaching the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Director to develop and lead Global wholesale strategy in line with the AFG 2027 vision. Establish and execute a comprehensive roadmap that aligns with the overall company strategy and our aggressive growth plans. Coach and guide Agency/Distributor reports to develop and deliver the divisional wholesale strategies across all house brands. Drive sales initiatives across all channels; boutiques, licensees, multiples and major department stores. Guide the team to deliver steady and accelerated growth across existing wholesale customers. Work closely with the Director to align and execute distribution strategy & product segmentation across collections & all wholesale channels. Achieve and exceed seasonal and annual revenue and profitability goals. Build strong relationships and strategic partnerships with top wholesale customers. Translate market, knowledge, trends and analysis across the multi-channel to advance AFG product development. Ensure strategies and plans are understood, aligned across the organisation and executed with results. Embed world class key account management capabilities throughout your daily works within the team Drive an inclusive, multi-functional culture within your direct and the wider wholesale team. Enable efficient and effective cross-functional team collaboration Lead high potential teams with targeted learning and development plans that unlock future business and personal potential Lead, develop and coach the wholesale team. Ensure the team structure is aligned and prepared for the business growth whilst also having succession plans in place.

About YOU

  • You'll have a minimum of 8 years' experience within the wholesale market, with a minimum of 3 years' experience at Senior Sales level. You'll have had a proven track record of leading and developing teams through times of change. You'll have a desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture. You'll have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with ease. You'll be a commercially astute and confident decision maker, communicating with impact across all levels. You will work well with change, being able to quickly adapt and work with pace. You'll have excellent negotiation skills, always backing yourself with data & insights. You'll be experienced in delivering results through implementing and driving sales strategies.
