The Role

We are looking for an ambitious candidate that will take on the responsibility of Commercial Assistant and join our passionate team at L’Apartement Ltd in BATTERSEA, London.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all customer orders are processed in Zedonk and Joor. Coordinate with the logistics manager in processing all customers commercial invoices, proforma invoices, payment invoices and packing lists Ensure all invoices follows the company invoice numbering system and logging them on to the company dedicated invoice list database Ensure all shipping related documents i.e. packing list are sent to the warehouse in a timely manner for the re-exporting of customer orders. Raising customer credit notes and process them accordingly while ensuring that we in turn receive credit notes from the manufacturers for items returned by customers. Follow up with customers for any outstanding payments Liaising with customers or sales teams on any sales related matter Make sure all invoices are being tracked correctly as per the company invoice system Creating and managing ageing reports to be shared with the Director Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debt Check to see if payments have been received from customers and update the topsheets etc
  • a quarterly basis for any goods imported into the UK under this procedure To resolve the Customs system issues for shipments from Hong Kong to Europe and UK To be the point of contact with IT or Supply Chain To be the point of contact for transportation and providing with all weekly updates To provide the monthly forecast to the Carriers Understanding of order lifecycle activities

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities (written & verbal) Must be interpersonal and be able to create relationships between all levels of the business Must be detailed oriented and possess good organisation skills Ability to display initiative and ownership Proactive and able to anticipate needs and issues before they arise Intermediate Excel skills Logistics experience essential Good knowledge of import / export declaration PC literacy, excellent experience of MS Excel essential Good numerical skills Knowledge of Zedonk,  and Joor would be beneficial Passionate about delivering superb customer service and to enjoy doing so
