POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for design, development and maintenance of Cloud based eCommerce web storefront by adopting React JS framework. Other responsibilities include developing and implementing user interface components following the well-known React.js workflow and guidelines. The position will also work in Agile model within product squad for developing new features in each Sprint.

This position participates in a wide array of both short-term and long-term initiatives. Responsible for helping in all aspects of the systems development life cycle process up to and including leading certain areas of post-implementation support.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing new user-facing features using React JS
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries using React and JavaScript for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code via Storybook & React
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Inspire and encourage innovation by leveraging React and modern technologies (supported by platform)
• Helps and guides the team with front-end coding standards in partnership working with the Manager of front-end engineering.
• Maintains code quality through thorough testing, code reviews and refactoring.
• Creates an environment of continuous learning and quality driven development.
• Participates in Technology design/code reviews to ensure consistency in architecture and design/code practices.
• Demonstrates detailed knowledge in functional area concepts and system solutions.
• Writes and maintains documents to describe application development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Keeps abreast of latest application development strategies, trends, and technologies, as applicable to Chico's architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science or equivalent degree required
• 3+ years of senior level application development experience
• 2+ years of experience in managing / leading large web projects independently
• 1+ years leading teams of application developers a plus
• 5+ years working with JavaScript based technology
• 3+ years working coding and developing web solution in ReactJS environment
• 5+ years working with HTML/CSS/BOOTSTRAP
• Familiar with GitHub and SVN code versioning tools
• Familiar with using Rest API and how to integrate via Front-End
• Experience with GraphQL a plus
• Experience with managed front-end hosted platforms (Vercel, Netlify, etc) a plus
• Experience with NextJs and Storybook a plus.
• Experience in full life cycle solution implementation from conceptualization to deployment and follow-up support
• Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
• Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable
• Must have demonstrated effective teamwork skills, following procedures, and functioning well under pressure
• Ability to manage and mentor other technical staff
• Expertise in Marketing data optimization and List cleansing, Data optimization and Hygiene
• Deep knowledge of best practices in Salesforce Service Cloud and Email Marketing Cloud
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, effective listening skills, and expertise in setting and managing IT teams and customer expectations
• Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and IT practices and operations, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence
• Preferably with SFMC Certification (Marketing Cloud Specialist or Email Specialist)
• Preferably with Salesforce Service Cloud Certification
