The Role:

As for cost analyst at US Manufacturing, you support the finance team to ensure our systems setup is correct and optimized to provide accurate, complete, and timely posting of the inventory transactions to the accounting ledger.

You set up and implement elements of the inventory control environment as required and guarantee cost accounting numbers are reported accurately, thoroughly, and timely with any transaction run by any of our internal manufacturing and product development sites in the US. You ensure constancy across all entities and work closely with the corporate controlling team in New Jersey to ensure compliance with group policies.

You monitor the cycle count results and report to the leadership team on risk profiles and tactics aiming to safeguard inventory assets.

You supervise the cost accounting team and the implementation of inventory cost absorption rates for operational work centers and precious metal types. You are in charge of updating these rates when required to ensure optimal absorption of production costs into the finished product.

You monitor aged work orders and work with operations teams on-site to resolve or identify risks for obsolescence.

A curious mindset and strong problem-solving skills are crucial to the success of this role.

This person should be confident in solving a problem with little direction. They will need to take the initiative to reach out to our vast network of stakeholders to gain an understanding of the processes/transactions to propose solutions.

To be successful in this role, the following competencies are required:
  • 5 -8 years of experience in a financial data and or cost analyst role,
  • Proven knowledge of working with ERP systems like JDE, SAP, or similar
  • Proven technical skills in setting up and leveraging IT tools like Alteryx, Qlikview, Power BI, MS Excel
  • Proven soft skills to work with people from different groups within an organization
  • Project management experience
