Job Description:

The FIT/UCE Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a jointly sponsored labor-management program is seeking an EAP Coordinator to manage and provide direct services for this long-standing program which provides information, assessment, short term counseling (1-3 sessions), and referral services to the employees, their family members, and retirees, of the college.

The EAP Coordinator consults with various stakeholders in the college to assist in dealing with employees whose personal problems are interfering with their ability to perform their job responsibilities. This position also includes supervision of EAP staff, development, and presentation of seminars, instituting electronic record-keeping into the program, and converting the present system into this modality. Additional responsibilities include biweekly weekend phone coverage, shared with the EAP Counselor, on alternating weekends, and checking and responding to emails and calls within 24-48 hours. As well as, maintain quarterly and annual reports of utilization, develop workshops, prepare bi-weekly newsletter for employees and program promotion.

The EAP Coordinator reports to a six-person Committee, consisting of equal representation from administration and the UCE, the Union, of the college, and the successful candidate needs to be able to work effectively with both labor and management.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), Licensed Clinical Social Work, or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D.) required.
  • At least ten years of clinical experience and five years in an EAP setting with a diverse population.
  • Minimum of two to five years of experience in a supervisory position.
  • Post Masters training in at least one or more of the following areas: addictions, different treatment modalities, some specific problem area- i.e., trauma., and five years of clinical supervision by licensed professional.
  • Experience in developing and presenting seminars and workshops.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent ability to provide assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment planning and crisis intervention, and extensive knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent judgment, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong clinical, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written skills are essential.
  • Ability to work with multiple parties at the same time - i.e., Employees, Human Resources & the Union.
  • Ability to work with senior-level management to problem solve and work with mandated referrals.

The position is on campus, primarily in an office environment.

Additional Information:

Days/Hours: M-F, in person (18 hours per week), some evenings and weekends; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.

Hiring Rate: $115.00 per hour
