Danse Lente is a London based accessories brand founded in April 2017, focusing on high quality leather handbags. Inspired by modern aesthetics and architecture, each piece is conceived in depth to create a purpose built product that also creates a unique experience - leaving a playful and curious element.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Designer with at least 2-3 years of experience to join the design team in our London Studio.

The role:

  • Research and presentation of themes and ideas, based on the Creative Directors brief for the season
  • Assist with the design development of new collections from inspirational ideas to finished designs (leather goods and bespoke hardware development)
  • Report and work closely with the design team to develop creative solutions for the design collections
  • Pattern cutting and the making of prototypes for new designs
  • Create tech-packs, spec-sheets, 3d drawings, CAD rendering on Illustrator and Photoshop, material placement
  • Creation of innovative digital prints, and hand painting is a plus Development of new packaging design
  • Work with suppliers and factories via written and personal visits when requested
  • Assist PD in various logistic and technical aspects, liaising with overseas suppliers, shipping, samples management, quality control, fabric and trims, raising of purchase orders and providing admin support as required

About you:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Fashion or Accessories Design
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the fashion and luxury industry as an Assistant Designer
  • Self-motivated and passionate with a strong interest in fashion
  • Strong knowledge of leather goods constructions as pattern cutting is required
  • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • 3/D design and development skills, with experience of 3D print
  • Meticulous attention to detail, problem solver, hard-working, resilient and flexible
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment based on 4 seasons per year
  • Adaptable – able to handle additional category requests based on business needs
  • Fluency in English essential
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
