Galvan London is recruiting a Woven Technical & Quality assistant to join the growing production department. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals keen to develop their skills as garment technicians in Luxury Fashion.

Role Responsibilities

 

    Create AQL documents. Depending on style, measure all QC at factories, with shipment samples or warehouse checks maintaining AQL submits for each factory.

    They will conduct all production quality controls alongside our production Manager- in our UK, Portugal, and Italian Factories.

    Assist the Garment technician with graded measure point charts for tech packs.

    Assist in all production fittings and be responsible for photos and measuring the samples.

    They will check all BOMS after PPS

    Maintain Zedonk with all RM changes and additions to BOMS

    Conduct fuse tests and press tests at the factories

     The role is responsible for ordering all fusings, construction trimmings and interlinings for production, tracking the orders and delivering to factories.

    They will need to build and maintain the fuse and interlining archives.

    Check all graded patterns for correct notches, and markings before bulk cutting.

    Create and print all garment care labels according to the fabric data sheets and test reports.

    There will be regular factory visits with the Garment Technician to make sure that products are coming off the line to specification.
     

General Duties and Role requirements

  • Minimum 2year’s experience in a similar, pattern or production role
  • Prior experience with patterns and construction
  • An understanding of the factory process
  • Keen to travel
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Skills in excel required Adobe Illustartor, Photoshop preferred
  • Good at problem solving and working under pressure
